We are thrilled to bring you the first of our interview posts with Etsy store owners! In today’s post we learn more about the fantastic aMAzing Boutique store and the lady behind it – Mary Alys Foutz – we just love her signs!
Over to Mary Alys…
Hi! My name is Mary Alys, the initials behind the capital “MA” in the shop name! I am a full-time Kindergarten teacher, full-time mom of two small children, and part-time business owner. There is never a dull moment in my life!
In February 2012, I opened my Etsy shop– aMAzing Boutique. When my husband and I began talking about adding a new addition to our family, we knew that we would need extra income. We have been very blessed in that God is answering our prayers with this side business. I am the creative mind behind the signs, while my husband manages shipping. I create all of my signs from a small craft table in my kitchen. It’s quaint, but it does the job!

The best part about owning a craft shop is that I get to do my favorite hobby as my job. It allows me to be creative and explore new crafting techniques. All of my signs are customizable so I am continuously finding new ways to make the “same” thing. Speech Room Style readers will be happy to know that one of my best selling items are teacher signs, which are also made-to-order!
