SLP Tote Bags from 31 Bags

Hi everybody!  I’m Kelly from Speech2u.  I was really excited when Kathryn asked if I would write a guest post on 31 bags on her blog Speech Room Style.

As a Speech Language Pathologist, I’ve struggled to find the perfect bag to store my materials.  I’ve had rolling suitcases, back packs and large SLP totes to carry my materials around in.  Mostly I’ve used the free bags that come with cosmetic or fragrance purchases.

I’m currently in the clinic two days and working at a middle/high school for 2 days.  I share my speech closet (literally-I’m in a utility closet next to paper towels and binders) with 2 other professionals so my storage space is limited to one 2 drawer filing cabinet.   After hauling 2-3 bags around, I was yearning for a better solution.  31 bags has been my answer.

I have three main bags that I’ve used in therapy:

The Large Utility Tote:
I also use this to “organize” my trunk.  My husband might disagree with how well I actually keep it organized.  I love this for bringing in toys to the clinic and think it would be really helpful in early intervention Here is what I can fit in the large utility tote:

The Organizing Utility Tote:
This is the first tote that I purchased.  I’ve used it for bringing materials on home visits, transporting test/test protocols and for keeping track of our library books at home.  It has 4 outside pockets and 2 mesh pockets on either end which helps to organize your materials.

The Super Organizing Utility Tote:
I loved my organizing utility tote-but I needed something a little bigger to carry all of my materials for the middle school.  PLUS with all of the snow we’ve been getting, I wanted the option to zip up the bag.  It holds a ridiculous amount of materials.  If I fill it up completely, it can get a little heavy.

My best friend from college, Kristin, just started selling 31 bags while she is back at school pursuing her second degree.  I’d do anything to help her out, so I was thrilled to be able to host a Valentine’s Day party 2/8-2/15/14.

31 Bags always has a Monthly special.  If you spend 35.00, you can get one of their products for a reduced rate.  In February, the special is their zip top organizing utility tote for 10.00 with purchase of  35.00 or more!  You can also personalize your bag with your name, initials, or favorite speech phrase for only 5.00.

You can check out my party HERE.
Even better, why not check with Kristin  and host your own party?  That way you can get lots of free products to carry around your SLP goodies.  The link to her page is HERE.
As a thank you to Speech Room Style’s readers, I’m offering a free flat iron case to one lucky SLP!  Perfect for storing in your gym bag or on vacation.

I have the large utility bag and love it. It holds a lot and I use it for many different purposes. I would love to have the utility bag with a zipper closure! I have been in search for one for a long time.

I like the Large Utility Tote because of the way it looks like it has a frame to keep its shape (like a basket would).
