Hi! This is Dean Trout, from Dean Trout’s Little Shop of Crafts on Etsy. I’m your guest blogger today.   Many of you may remember me from last year when I introduced my SLP tote bags. Well, this year I am very excited to tell you about my new Quilted Speech Room Banners.

These have been wonderfully and enthusiastically received by many SLPs going back to school!

They are hand crafted by me in fabric; a printed cotton for the top, and a muslin on the back, with a cotton batting in the middle that gives it that quilted look. Each letter is machine stitched and hand cut by me. These are rag letters which mean the fabric edges are left untreated and are supposed to fray and ravel.

The letters are tied together individually with a ribbon. Two individual eyelets are hand set in each letter for a neat finished look.

They are very light weight and can he hung anywhere: on your door, on the wall above a bulletin board or white board or even over a cabinet. I recommend a simple sticky back hook such as the removable Command Hooks.

The words are designed so that you can hang them in a continuous line or with one word above the other.

I have been customizing these to fit each individual SLP’s room decor. Let me show you some samples as the possibilities are endless!

I have even managed to find a chevron fabric (below) that coordinates great with the browns, greens, oranges and blues from the Owl Theme from Speech Room Style found on TpT (check out our Owl Decor here!)
